Nowadays, automation is a key element for streamlining logistics processes. Lenzing Biocel Paskov, a major producer of viscose pulp in the Czech Republic, decided to modernize its entry system by implementing the Welcomo self-service kiosk from M2C Innovis. This move has simplified and accelerated the entire process of registration and vehicle entry to the site.
Cooperation with experts in access control systems
The project was created in cooperation with Cominfo,a company that supplies turnstiles worldwide and access and attendance systems on the domestic market. Cominfo has been operating its systems at the Lenzing Biocel Paskov site for many years. The cooperation with Innovis, the technology division of M2C, resulted in the successful design of a solution for fully automated entry of cars with raw materials for production. The implemented solution links the systems of both companies with the existing systems of the Lenzing site as well as with those of external suppliers.
Integration of existing systems for seamless operation
The key to success was the integration of the Welcomo self-service kiosk with the systems of external suppliers at Lenzing Biocel Paskov, including the visitor system, SAP, camera system and information boards. This integration enabled a seamless and simple system to be created, replacing the complex process of registering raw material suppliers at the gatehouse and resulting in a clearer, faster and more efficient operation, while reducing operating costs.
Simple and efficient self-service process
On arrival at the premises, the driver simply retrieves his ID card and QR code from the delivery note at the kiosk. Welcomo processes and stores this information in the system. The driver is then asked to fill in additional information, such as the weight of the load and other ambiguous data. Once the process is complete, the driver receives an access card which is used in the Cominfo access system throughout the journey through the site.
Tailored solutions for specific needs
The entire system has been custom designed to fully meet the specific needs of Lenzing Biocel Paskov. As a result, greater efficiency and operational safety was achieved, with satisfaction with the final solution from all parties involved.
